Living and Sharing the Love of Christ!
United Methodists have believed, from the beginning,
that each of us is called to participate in the outreaching
ministry of Jesus Christ.  Methodism's founder,
John Wesley, described this work in simple,
practical terms: "Do all the good you can,
in all the places you can, to all the people you can."

Become an advocate for low-income children by participating in Asbury’s BackSnack program through a partnership with Harvesters. Students at Santa Fe Trail Elementary, located at 71st and Lamar, will receive food and snacks each week to eat on the weekends. Volunteers are needed to go to the school anytime during school hours on Wednesday or Thursday to wipe out the backpacks and fill them with pre-packaged food. You can sign-up to volunteer one time, one week a month, or as a substitute.  To volunteer or to ask for more information call Joan Brown at 913-381-8708 or email her at browntown@kc.rr.com

The Shepherd’s Center of KC Central has an immediate need for Friday Meals on Wheels drivers. Just 1-2 hours a week can make a big difference in the life of a senior adult. For more information contact Gwen Marshall at 816-444-1121 ext 105 or Gwen@sccentral.org.
