KU Football Tickets

Asbury has been gifted with some KU football tickets. We have season tickets including all seven home games at half price! We have individual tickets available for all home games - at discounted prices - great seats near the 35-yard-line – contact Mary Moyer for more details at MaryM@VisitAsbury.org or at 913-432-5573. Proceeds will benefit Asbury ministries.

Dinner and Speaker

Dr. Rena Yocom, a specialist on church missions from Saint Paul’s School of Theology, will share stories about women in mission at a women’s dinner on Sunday, September 12 at 6:00 p.m. in Hager Hall. Reservations for both the event and childcare can be made by calling the church office at (913) 432-5573. A $5.00 donation is requested to pay for the cost of the light meal. Sponsored by United Methodist Women.

Afternoon Baseball

Enjoy an afternoon at a Royals game complete with a barbeque tailgate lunch on Monday, September 13. We’ll car pool from the church at 12:30 p.m. and enjoy a tailgate lunch before the game starts at 2:10 p.m. A shuttle will be available from the parking lot to our seats for those with mobility issues. This outing is sponsored by the United Methodist Men and the Senior Adult Ministry teams. Ticket and tailgating costs $28.00. Please call the church office to reserve your tickets by September 7.

Senior Group to Tour Sacred Structures

Tour historic downtown churches and learn how they are serving the community today in a special Sacred Structures Tour on Wednesday, September 8 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The first stop will be Grand Avenue Temple where we'll explore how God is doing new things amid their historic walls. A highlight of the tour will be a bus tour with a homeless guide who will help us explore poverty from another point of view. We’ll also visit the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and learn how they are responding to community needs. Lunch will follow at a restaurant of our choosing.
