Welcome to Asbury United Methodist Church
First of all, welcome! We are so happy that you decided to come and visit us and see what we're all about here at Asbury. We hope that you find yourself at home and among family here. Below is a short video narrated by our Senior Pastor, Gayla Rapp, that will tell you a little more about how our church came to be.
Weekly worship has been our biggest way of coming together and sharing in fellowship with one another. In these days of COVID-19, though, we've had to change the way we do that a bit (as you can probably imagine!). Our pastors, staff and musicians have been very busy behind the scenes to create a worshipful, meaningful service each week that we record and then release online at 5:00 pm on Saturdays. That way, the people who have been used to worshiping in the chapel on Saturdays at 5:00 pm can worship then, and our Sunday attendees can also access the worship service the next morning and watch it then! There's something for everyone in these online services - hymns, choral numbers with our section leaders, and even a worship band!
And just because our building is currently closed certainly does not mean that the church is! Our classes and Sunday schools are still active and connecting behind the scenes. Lots of classes are meeting via Zoom, so if you are interested in checking one out, please know that you are welcome! You can see a list of classes here: https://www.visitasbury.org/sunday-school-small-groups/ or if you would like to reach out and find a "best fit" for you, our Directors of Connectional Ministries, Julie Woodman and Michelle Funk, would be happy to talk to you. You can always reach them at .
Finally, if you are interested in becoming of member of Asbury Church, we would love to have you join our family!
